American International Assurance Company, Limited (AIA)
Project: NCS developed the Sales Illustration System (SIS) as a web-based sales tool to facilitate effective selling by AIA sales agents. Among other features, the system allows for customer profiling, fact finding, sales illustration of insurance products, recommendations, and customer data-basing.
Results: The visibility of the entire sales process enables agents to be more efficient and effective in meeting customers' needs.
Aurora Tankers
Project: The Fleet Management System (FMS) was developed and implemented by NCS for Aurora Tankers to manage the business operations of their vessels. FMS is an intranet-based, modular and workflow system designed for the Fleet Planning & Logistics, Post Fixture, Chartering, Research and Administration departments.
Results: The FMS provides timely critical information to Aurora to make strategic decisions quicker, and manage its operations more productively.
Commerce, Industry and Technology Bureau (CITB) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR)
Project: NCS Hong Kong played the role of systems integrator in the Electronic Submission and Processing of Cargo Manifests (EMAN). The EMAN system supports the electronic submission of cargo manifests for air, ocean, river and rail mode carriers to three key departments - Customs and Excise Department, Census and Statistics Department, and Trade and Industry Department.
Results: Users of EMAN enjoy shorter turnaround time, greater convenience, lower costs and less paperwork compared to traditional method of submitting one manifest at a time on paper to the three Government departments.
Hewlett-Packard (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd
Project: The Authorised Service Center (ASC) is a secure, web-based customer service system developed by NCS Malaysia for Hewlett-Packard. It allows resellers to perform call reporting, parts request and status tracking.
Results: The system minimises data entry, hence simplifying the manufacturer and resellers' processes for warranty, contract management and trade repairs.
Hi-P International Ltd
Project: Hi-P International is a Singapore-based manufacturer specialising in high precision tooling design and fabrication, plastic injection molding and assembly contracting. NCS successfully implemented the SAP R/3 Enterprise Resource System (ERP) for Hi-P International Ltd's four offices in Shanghai, marking the start of a global roll-out to other Hi-P plants in China, Mexico and Singapore. Named Project PACE (Productivity Achievement through Continual Excellence), it was successfully implemented across the four offices in just eight months.
Results: The system helps Hi-P manage its business operations more efficiently by integrating all of Hi-P's critical business functions.
Lafarge Asia
Project: Lafarge is the world leader in building materials. As part of its recent relocation of the Regional IT Shared Services (RITSS) to Malaysia, NCS Malaysia helped Lafarge set up the new data centre network and facilities, and equipped it with new servers, software, and backup and clustering solutions. The project was fully deployed by end 2003.
Results: Lafarge was able to smoothly relocate its critical business operations to a new location without much interruptions to its normal business.
Sri KDU Smart School, Malaysia
Project: One of Paramount Corporation Berhad’s success stories in the education industry is KDU College, a premier private college in Malaysia. Spurred by its success, Paramount established Sri KDU Smart School for primary and secondary students. NCSI Malaysia was appointed as Paramount’s IT and Project Management consultant to help establish the IT Master Plan and business processes for this school.
Results: The school was successfully launched on schedule in Jan 2003.
