NCS staff volunteer to be NDP Nannies

NCS Pte. Ltd. (NCS), a leading IT and engineering services provider in the region, announces sponsorship of the SMS system for National Day Parade 2004 (NDP 2004).  The service named NCS OnBehalf, will manage the high volume eTicketing and eGreeting messages for NDP 2004.

A new service for this year's National Day, eGreetings will be collected and posted on the LED screens at the parade as well as the NDP website. NCS Onbehalf collects and manages all messages regardless of which mobile phone operator users subscribe to.

"NCS is honoured to be chosen once again by the NDP 2004 Executive Committee to sponsor the messaging system for this year's National Day. This system showcases our capability in IT and communications engineering," said Mr Lee Kwok Cheong, Chief Executive Officer of NCS.  The system managed more than 100,000 requests for tickets to last year's parade.

Not contented with just providing technical expertise, NCS staff also volunteered to play 'Nanny' to Primary 5 students who will be at the National Stadium to watch the National Education Show.  The volunteers will help escort them from their schools to Lavender MRT Station for ferry services to the stadium, and vice versa when the show is over.

"Community service is very much part of NCS' work/life balance program.  Our staff are excited to participate in this national event and look forward to watching the parade with the students.  It will certainly bring out the child in every adult watching!" said Mr Lee.
