NCS Group, a leading regional information technology and communications engineering service provider in the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions, today announced that it will continue to lead China’s exciting IT industry with continued investments in its Chengdu facilities and in IT education.
NCS China has more than 650 employees in 5 major cities including Chengdu, Suzhou, Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou.
At a formal ceremony today, NCS Chengdu outlined further details of its ongoing investment programme to help develop China’s IT industry.
NCS Chengdu, situated in Tianfu Software Park, focuses on application development and business process outsourcing services, catering to a wide variety of multinational clients.
NCS Chengdu has been working closely with local universities such as University of Electronic, Science and Technology of China, Sichuan Normal University and Xi Hua University to grow local talent for the China’s IT market, by developing a customised industry-specific curriculum. NCS also offers work-attachment programmes to better help prepare Chengdu graduates for the industry.
NCS believes strongly in the development of its people. It recently became one of the few IT companies in China to achieve world class CMMI L5 accreditation for its Suzhou facilities. NCS has plans to achieve the same level of accreditation in Chengdu.
“We aim to develop our Chengdu IT staff to an international standard. NCS aspires to be recognised as a leader in the China’s IT industry and we can only do that if our people are world class,” said Dr Chong Yoke Sin, CEO of NCS Group.
With the projected growth in NCS application development and business process outsourcing services, NCS Chengdu expects to invest in the development of local IT talent by increasing staff strength by 400% within the next two years.
NCS is also conducting an ongoing talent recruitment effort with the local universities, hiring agencies and government recruitment channels in Chengdu.
“We are positioning NCS as an Employer of Choice and to do that, we must continue to invest in the quality of our people,” says Dr Chong.
NCS Group continues to invest in China’s IT market with a view to attract application development and business process outsourcing contracts from all over the world.
