NCS Group, a leading regional information technology and communications engineering service provider in the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions announced that it has partnered with Alcatel to provide turnkey services to the Fiji Government. The contract, with a total value of Euro 16 million, includes consulting, program design, development, implementation, management and maintenance as well as training.
Targeted to be completed by 2008, the new systems will provide online access to and improve service delivery of a wide range of Fiji’s Government services, enabling better policy outcomes, enhancing greater interaction with all citizens as well as increasing administrative efficiency.
NCS will be responsible for providing consulting services to help Fiji Government develop a Blueprint, Governance plan and ICT Competency Development plan for e-Government. NCS will also design and implement several e-Service application projects and provide consulting service in the design of the Government Data Centre. To ensure the sustainability of the e-Government project, NCS will ensure adequate on-going training and knowledge-transfer to the Fiji Government and local ICT vendors.
