Electronic Movie Passes Now A Reality With NCS' Smartcard

Singapore, 21 July 1999

NEW, NCS' lifestyle smartcard of the future, allows electronic movie passes to be embedded onto a smartchip, providing its cardholders maximum convenience of electronic transactions. Eventually, such services will be made available via the Internet, remote access stations or over the telephone, minimizing queues, fuss or hassle.

AMG is confident that the dynamic concept of the NEW smartcard will increasingly appeal to today's sophisticated consumers.

A Private Screening of PUSHING TIN (from the director of "Four Weddings & A Funeral") for NEW smartcard holders, press and industry bigwigs, will be held at United Artists Beach Road, Grand Prince level 3, on July 21 - during which electronic movie passes (in the form of NEW smartcards) will be used for entry to the screening.

AMG hopes to make more NEW converts see the benefits of participating in such electronic redemption and loyalty Programmes, which also include electronic lucky draws whereby the necessity for coupon filling is eliminated.

AMG is a new business unit of National Computer Systems (NCS), which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Singapore Telecom Group.
