NCB subsidiary to market entire range of enterprise products

CISCO Systems (USA) Pte Ltd has appointed National Computer Systems (NCS) Pte Ltd as its systems integrator in Singapore.

Under the agreement, NCS will be responsible for sales and marketing of Cisco Systems' Enterprise products, which includes multiprotocol routers, LAN (local area network) and ATM(asynchromous transfer mode) switches, remote access servers, Internet access and management software, and network management software.

The contacts and experience gained from the use and management of CISCO solutions NCS had acquired over the years will be instrumental in spearheading our growth into the local market," said J T Yeoh, Managing Director of Cisco Systems South Asia.

National Computer Systems Pte Ltd (NCS), a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Computer Board was restructured and began operations from as April 1 1996 as an IT services company. NCS took over the development and maintenance functions of the Civil Service Computerisation Programme (CSCP) which the NCB has relinquished.
