MENDAKI Holdings Pte Ltd (MHPL), Yayasan MENDAKI's economic arm is partnering with National Computer Systems (NCS) to pursue e-commerce solutions.

With NCS' expertise in web-hosting and facilitating internet-based businesses, services provided under the Yayasan MENDAKI's umbrella will progressively take advantage of the e-commerce medium. At the same time and more significant still, Malay/Muslim companies can now immediately sign-up and take advantage of e-commerce.

Mr Ameerali Jumabhoy, Chairman of MHPL, said, "On the part of Yayasan MENDAKI and its subsidiaries including MENDAKI Holdings, we are eager to play our part by pushing our community along the path charted out by the government".

In a Memorandum of Understanding signed today, MENDAKI will be able to package NCS' Consumer Connect e-commerce solution as part of its package of products and services to the Malay/Muslim businesses. The MHPL-NCS strategy will enable even the small Malay / Muslim businesses to take advantage of real e-commerce facilities on a cost-effective basis.

Through this venture, NCS maintains its commitment in providing business-to-business e-commerce solutions to the region. "It is exciting that NCS may tailor its solutions to the needs of Malay/Muslim businesses and the general community alike in a way that would bring about competitive advantages for the Malay/Muslim companies worldwide," said Mr Lee Kwok Cheong, Chief Executive Officer, NCS.

The Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony was graced by Mr. Abdullah Tarmugi, Minister for Community Development and Chairman of Yayasan MENDAKI. The event was graced by Mr Abdullah Tarmugi, Minister for Community Development, also Minister in-charge of Muslim Affairs and Chairman of MENDAKI's Board of Directors.
