Held in partnership with DICOM, I-sprint and CR2 to present solutions for challenges faced by the industry in China
NCS Group, a leading information technology and communications engineering service provider in the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions, held the first leg of its Financial Services Industry (FSI) Roadshow in Qingpu, Shanghai from 29 to 30 November 2007.
The two-day event was attended by more than 40 top executives from the banking and finance services industry in the Eastern and Southern part of China, including bank general managers, heads of department from IT and operations. The event provided a platform for industry executives to learn from and share their experiences in using IT back-end applications in an innovative way to enhance business operations and minimize business risk.
One of the keynote speakers for the event was Mr Timothy Choon, NCS China’s FSI Director who spoke on the key ways to implement new SWIFTNet XML Solutions using NCS China’s very own middleware application platform - Exchange Connect Platform (ECP). ECP is designed to act as the interface between back-office applications and the SWIFT systems. With ECP, financial institutions are now able to run SWIFTNet Solutions promptly and hassle-free.
Choon introduced the various NCS banking solutions including business system, imaging workflow, data authenticity and integrity and application tools. Other banking solution providers such as I-sprint, CR2 and Dicom also shared trends and challenges faced by the industry in China. NCS will take the roadshow to Beijing and Guangzhou in the near future.
The event is part of NCS’ ongoing efforts to help grow China’s financial services industry aggressively in the next decade. “As a strategic player in the FSI industry in China, NCS aims to play a pivotal role to grow and develop China’s Banking Industry into a more sophisticated institution - not only in China but also throughout the world,” said Mr Lum Hon Fye, Chief of Global Business, NCS Group.
NCS continues to invest in its leadership position in China’s developing IT market through expanding its professional services to provide world-class business process outsourcing (BPO) centres, additional support for SWIFT and IT education and training services in China.
NCS China has more than 850 employees in China including Chengdu, Suzhou, Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou, of whom 98% are local talent. NCS believes strongly in the ongoing investment in the quality of people to position itself as an Employer of Choice.
NCS’ leadership position in China’s IT industry is supported by its ongoing focus on attaining international certification for its China operations. NCS is one of the few China-based IT service providers with CMMI level 5 recognition and aims to gain other standard qualifications in the areas of quality processes (ISO standards) and information technology services management throughout China.
